Palm Springs 37-19 After 4-3 Win Over Denver
Denver first baseman Adam Barker had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Barker was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Palm Springs beat the Pilots, 4-3. Palm Springs reliever Nick Calvache picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Tyler Hildebrand was tagged with the loss. Palm Springs goes to 37-19, Denver to 22-34.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Eric Milbrandt was at the plate when Palm Springs scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Heat to go in front, 4-3.

"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Palm Springs manager Rogelio Sanchez. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
