Comets Suffer 5-2 Setback
|
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Devin Hall, the White Deer Tropics defeated the Kalamazoo Comets, 5-2. Hall was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Tropics. Scott Robertson picked up the save for White Deer, his 16th of the year. The third-place Tropics bumped their record to 50-41.
Hall had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Jordan Santiago, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Tropics a 5-2 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Hall.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Hall.
