Partons Earn 1-0 Win Versus Bowsers
Brad Martin, who is tied for 6th in the S-A with a 1.20 WHIP, never let the Bowsers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Partons to a win, 1-0. The winner was Dollywood reliever Tyler Wright, now 4-0. The loser was Joseph Piotrowski. The Partons now own a record of 61-24.

The Partons got a clutch hit from third baseman Malcolm Garner. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Partons.

During his postgame press conference, Partons manager Adam Freeman told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
