With Late Score, Bowsers Beat Keys
The Columbus Bowsers topped the Long Beach Keys, 3-2, in Southern A action at Ballpark of Columbus. The standout performance belonged to Columbus pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Chris Robles. Reliever Brian Ashley picked up the win. His record improves to 5-5. Jim Unknown took the loss. Columbus is third in the Southern A East Division with a record of 45-39.

Columbus took a 3-2 lead on Jake Willison's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Willison hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Long Beach pitcher Jim Unknown visibly frustrated.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Columbus manager Joe Mills.
