Comets Fall Short, 2-1, at Bangor
Bangor Lumberjacks pitcher Jamie Knudson was in top form, leading his team past the Kalamazoo Comets, 2-1. With the win, the Lumberjacks improved to 39-42.

The Comets had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Lumberjacks going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old center fielder Juan Jasso came to the plate. Jasso hit a solo home run on a 2-2 fastball from Kalamazoo hurler Justin Bunt. It was Jasso's 4th home run of the year.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Jasso.
