Nashua beat Dollywood in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Dollywood got a terrific game from center fielder Paul Nicolopoulos. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Nashua, 8-4. Nicolopoulos went 2-5 with 2 home runs. Ray Vernier was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

In the bottom of the second, Nashua shortstop Joe Morrison had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Morrison stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 4-2, Nashua. For the game, he went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Morrison told the Nashua Daily.

Nashua is now 44-39, Dollywood 62-21.
