Hoffa Lifts Comets to 10-5 Win
With right fielder David Hoffa leading the charge, the Kalamazoo Comets defeated the Bangor Lumberjacks, 10-5, at Wizards Stadium. Hoffa, who is tied for 7th in the S-A in stolen bases with 12, went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Kalamazoo, at 24-57, occupies last place in the Southern A East Division.

In the bottom of the first, Kalamazoo third baseman Joe Deutsch had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Deutsch stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-1, Kalamazoo. For the game, he went 1-2 with 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs.
