The Dollywood Partons faced a tough opponent in White Deer pitcher Dustin Mitchell, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of White Deer by a final score of 7-5. Mitchell went 5.2 innings and allowed 4 runs. Dollywood reliever Jason Washington picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Josh Buxton took the loss. Dollywood is in second place in the Southern A East Division with a record of 53-26.

Dollywood used a clutch hit from Dusty Anderson to snatch the win. The third baseman belted a solo home run in the top of the 14th inning to put the Partons ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

In postgame comments, Anderson said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
