5-3 Loss Deepens Atlanta Funk
|
The Barrie Admirals picked up a win at Stadia de Leones, taking down the Atlanta Aggies, 5-3. Starting pitcher Chris Reed was a big reason why. Barrie has won 4 straight, while Atlanta has lost 12 in a row.
In the bottom of the 7th, second baseman Josh Gillespie gave Barrie the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Admirals had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Atlanta pitcher Edgardo Saenz changed that -- and Barrie went on to win.
"Things will change for us," said Atlanta manager Jeremiah Simpson. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
