Sweepers Win, Stovall hits 2 home runs
|
The Nashua Sweepers used the hitting of catcher Colt Stovall to subdue the Long Beach Keys, 7-5. For the game, Stovall was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Rogelio Camarillo picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 3-4. Long Beach's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
Stovall had a key at-bat for Nashua in the top of the first. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 8th double of the season and gave Nashua an early 1-0 lead.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Stovall.
