Late Rally Earns Mexico City 6-3 Win
The White Deer Tropics could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Antonino Sauli into a win. Instead, the Mexico City Aztecs prevailed, 6-3. Sauli threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball. Mexico City reliever Jake Simmons picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Dustin Mitchell was tagged with the loss. The Aztecs win now puts them at 48-31.

In the top of the ninth, 20-year old shortstop Dean Hostetler delivered for Mexico City. That's when he belted a solo home run, putting the Aztecs up, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.

Hostetler told a Mexico City Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
