Starting pitcher Cooper Culaham was a major factor in the 7-0 Mexico City Aztecs triumph over the White Deer Tropics. The Aztecs, at 47-31, sit in second place in the Southern A West Division.

Mexico City used the clutch hitting of Jonathan Lewis to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aztecs ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

In postgame comments to the Mexico City Today, Lewis said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
