The Barrie Admirals locked up a win at Stadia de Leones, knocking off the London Werewolves, 5-4. On the mound for Barrie was right-hander Marty Matthews. He played a major role in the triumph. The third-place Werewolves dropped to 44-34.

The decisive moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Barrie. That's when David Nevarez hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old left-handed pitcher Ben Foster to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Matthews.
