Columbus Gets 3-0 Win Behind Lefty Mercer
|
Starting pitcher Graham Mercer had a solid game. He was a big reason the Columbus Bowsers throttled the Barrie Admirals, 3-0. Earning the save was Vince Mellon. He's now cashed in 2 of 5 save opportunities. The win hiked the Columbus record to 44-36.
Mercer gave Columbus a blue-ribbon performance. The 6-foot-5 left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 7.2 innings of work.
"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Mercer.
