Aztecs Get Clutch Win Versus Dollywood
The Dollywood Partons could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Adam Hazen into a win. Instead, the Mexico City Aztecs prevailed, 5-4, in 10 innings. Hazen threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Ken Griffey got credit for the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. With the win, Mexico City goes to 59-19, while the Partons fall to 60-18.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 24-year old left fielder Steve Farnsworth had a chance to be the hero. Dollywood pitcher Andy Roberts had other ideas. But with no outs, Farnsworth drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Aztecs had themselves a dramatic win.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Mexico City field general Chris Hallman.
