Admirals Lose Contest, 3-1
|
The Barrie Admirals got a sterling performance from pitcher Danny Cortez, but the Lake Elsinore Storm still prevailed, 3-1. Cortez threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Jim Unknown wrapped it up, recording his 1st save. Lake Elsinore, with the win, sits at 21-55.
Making an impact for Lake Elsinore was right fielder Tim Cook. Tall One drilled a run-scoring double off Danny Cortez in the bottom of the first. For the game, Cook went 1-2 with a double and 2 walks.
"Tough loss," said Barrie manager Manny Uset. "But we'll learn from it."
