Despite a great performance by Louisville designated hitter Micah Pieroni, the Columbus Bowsers defeated the Sweepers by the score of 10-8 at Miller Park. Pieroni was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Columbus is now 35-42, Louisville 33-44.

Columbus needed the clutch hitting of Ryan Doyle to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bowsers on top, 8-5. For the game, Doyle had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
