Both teams had their chances, but the London Werewolves eventually prevailed.

The London Werewolves overcame a good performance by Columbus shortstop Chris Weidner to knock off Columbus, 8-7, at Ballpark of Columbus. Weidner was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. London reliever Brian Bauer was the winner. His record is now 6-4. The losing pitcher was Brent Conway. Kevin Farris finished to wrap up his 11th save.

Josh Hahn came through with a big-time hit for London. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 8-7. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said London manager Adrian Mercado.

With the win, London upped its record to 51-24.
