Lorenzo Martinez never let the Admirals get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Sweepers to a win, 2-1. Matt Gardner got the save, the 6th for him this season. The Sweepers improved to 40-35.

Jesse Lang had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for Nashua. He came through with a solo home run to put Nashua in front, 2-0.

Lang called the win "a collective effort."
