Bowsers Stop Admirals, 3-1
|
Reynaldo Calle was nothing short of phenomenal for the Columbus Bowsers. The 21-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Barrie Admirals, 3-1. Calle got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. At 32-42, the Bowsers are currently 4th in the Southern A East Division.
Columbus used the clutch hitting of Shane Fanning to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Bowsers the lead, 3-1. For the game, Fanning had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
Fanning called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
