Storm Earn Late Win
The Lake Elsinore Storm beat the White Deer Tropics, 9-8, at Ballpark of White Deer. The Storm got a fine performance from left fielder Jermaine Crawford, who went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Lake Elsinore reliever Jim Unknown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dustin Mitchell absorbed the loss. Jim Unknown earned the save for Lake Elsinore, his 1st.

Crawford contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Lake Elsinore in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 8-6, Crawford took a fastball from Dustin Mitchell and stroked the home run to center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Storm to leap in front, 9-8.

"Nice to get this one," said Crawford. "Wins have been hard to come by."
