Barrie parlayed a decent outing from starter Graham Renner into a solid win over the Kalamazoo Comets. The final score was 9-4. Barrie is now 46-23, while Kalamazoo is 26-43.

The Admirals got a big hit from first baseman Nate Raphael. In the bottom of the sixth, Raphael smacked a 2-run double off Kalamazoo pitcher Stuart Blankenship. It was his 4th double of the season. Suddenly, the Admirals were ahead, 4-3.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Raphael.
