The Mexico City Aztecs had to overcome a big game from Columbus shortstop Albert Garcia to leave Tony Gwynn Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Garcia was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Aztecs now have a record of 47-22.

Mexico City took a 7-6 lead on Corey McKeone's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which McKeone hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Columbus pitcher Brent Conway visibly frustrated.

"We ground out the win," said McKeone. "That's all that matters."
