Woodside Blasts 3 Home Runs in 6-4 Widowmakers Win
The performance of Ed Woodside proved critical in helping Weedpatch beat Poplar Bluff, 6-4. The Widowmakers center fielder belted 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Weedpatch is in second place in the Southern A West Division with a record of 41-29.

Weedpatch used a timely hit from Bill Lobsinger to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Widowmakers ahead, 4-3. It might've been his only hit, but it did the trick.

Lobsinger attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
