The Pueblo Heroes got a sterling performance from pitcher Wes Gordon, but the Barrie Admirals still prevailed, 9-4. Gordon threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Colby Kelly, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The second-place Admirals now have a record of 44-23.

Barrie used the timely hitting of Justin Allery to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Admirals on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Said Barrie manager Manny Uset: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
