The Nashua Sweepers powered past the Kalamazoo Comets, 9-5, at Wizards Stadium. Jose Corona provided some of the pop. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The victory puts Nashua at 24-43.

Jeff May, who is tied for 10th in the S-A in doubles with 14, aided the Nashua cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said May. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
