Comets Tag Tropics with 3-2 Loss
|
The Kalamazoo Comets and White Deer Tropics played an entertaining game for Ballpark of White Deer patrons.
In a tight tilt between Kalamazoo and White Deer, pitcher Mike Amos was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-2 Comets win. Carter Coccaro recorded the save, his 4th.
Trent Slagle had a direct impact on the outcome. Slagle contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Kalamazoo up, 3-0.
"Both teams played hard," said Kalamazoo manager Sam Furfari.
Kalamazoo is now 16-48.
