Tropics Win with Late Rally
The White Deer Tropics and Bangor Lumberjacks rewarded fans hoping for a nail-biter.

Bangor right fielder Gilberto Cruzgonzalez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Lumberjacks dropped a 5-4 decision to White Deer at Ballpark of White Deer. Cruzgonzalez was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Troy Zufelt earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-2.

The Tropics got a clutch hit from shortstop Kyle Stempien. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Tropics.

"Now that's my kind of ending," said a smiling Stempien.

The win puts White Deer at 32-29 this season.
