Heroes Rack Up 7-4 Win Versus London
|
Conditions were not ideal but Pueblo and London were able to put their game in the books.
Pueblo designated hitter Dillon O'Neill contributed significantly to his team's 7-4 win over the London Werewolves. O'Neill went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Heroes. Jon Ramirez got the win, improving to 2-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 11 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1.
With Pueblo leading 5-4 in the top of the seventh, O'Neill hit a run-scoring single off London hurler Brian Bauer. It was the 38th hit of the season for O'Neill and put his team ahead, 6-4.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," O'Neill told the Pueblo Observer.
The Heroes, now 27-33, have won 4 in a row.
