The skies opened up and the rain fell at Dolly Parton Ballpark.

Andy Yule was masterful in helping the Dollywood Partons take down the Nashua Sweepers, 5-1. Dollywood reliever Tyler Wright was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Gary Lutz.

Tied up with the Sweepers in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Partons got a boost from pinch hitter Matt Dean. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Dean saw a first pitch slider from Gary Lutz and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Dollywood on top, 1-0.

Said Nashua manager Tony Allen: "We weren't able to do much."

The 5th-place Sweepers now sit at 18-36.
