Gangsters Send Syracuse Home with 3-1 Loss
|
The Chicago Gangsters picked up a win at The Hideout, knocking off the Syracuse Scorpions, 3-1. Starting pitcher Adrian Huffine was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Huffine, now 6-10. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The Gangsters go to 61-94 with the win.
In the bottom of the 1st, Chicago took the lead on a 2-run single by Justin Wish. At the time, the Gangsters were trailing 1-0, but Wish's hit with two outs against Syracuse pitcher Ivan Medina put them in front, 2-1.
Said Syracuse manager Jose Torres: "You just have to tip your cap sometimes."
