The Syracuse Scorpions had their hands full with Indianapolis Eagles starter Justin Thompson, who frustrated Syracuse hitters while leading Indianapolis to a comfortable, 10-0 win. Josh Riddick, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Indianapolis is now 84-65.

Indianapolis used the hitting of Scott Goldfein to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Eagles on top, 2-0. For the game, Goldfein had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
