Nosediving Trash Pandas Lose, 6-5
|
Indianapolis second baseman Marcos Santiago was instrumental in helping the Eagles triumph, 6-5, over the Toronto Trash Pandas. Santiago went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. Indianapolis has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.
Danny Aleman had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for the Eagles. Coming up with the bases loaded and Indianapolis trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay.
