Scorpions Stumble, Lose to Sea Turtles
Daytona Beach Sea Turtles starter Nate McClaskey had all his pitches working at Scorpion Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-2 Daytona Beach win over the Syracuse Scorpions. McClaskey yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 3, and struck out 8. His record improves to 6-16. Brian Hennick locked down his 4th save.

The Sea Turtles took the lead, 4-2, in the top of the fifth inning. Facing Syracuse hurler Bob Garbee with two outs, Eric Kraft hit a run-scoring single.

"Nate mixed and matched," said Daytona Beach manager Danny Sanchez.

The Sea Turtles move to 54-84 with the win, while the Scorpions drop to 48-90.
