Chicago and Carolina got after it at The Hideout.
Chicago Gangsters starter Josh Wilkes kept the Carolina Reapers hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Keith Kramer recorded the save for Chicago, his 19th of the season.
Chicago took the lead, 6-2, on Kevin Crouch's 19th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Carolina pitcher Sean Rowe in the bottom of the eighth.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Crouch said.
The 'W' lifts Chicago's record to 54-84.
