Chiefs Get Clutch Win, 5-4
Despite a great performance by Sandusky center fielder Bill Geeslin, the Santa Fe Chiefs defeated the Seagulls by the score of 5-4 in 10 innings at Seagull Park. Geeslin was 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. Mike McBeth was the winner in relief. His record is now 8-6. The losing pitcher was Mike Fisher. Ryan Barber finished to wrap up his 19th save.

Steve McKinstry was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI for Santa Fe. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, McKinstry, who finished 4th in the AC in runs with 99 in 2019, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Sandusky hurler Mike Fisher, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Chiefs a 5-4 lead.

"We were the better team," crowed McKinstry.

The win puts the Chiefs at 54-79, while the Seagulls drop to 55-78.
