Whistlers Get One-Run Win at Santa Fe
|
A.J. Cook impressed in the 6-5 Boston win over Santa Fe. Cook went 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 4 runs. The winning pitcher was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Sam Naber. He tossed 113 pitches over 7.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits. Santa Fe has now lost 4 straight.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Cook hit a 2-run single. It thrust the Whistlers into the lead, 2-0.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Santa Fe manager Brandon Harper.
