The Palm Springs Heat and Denver Pilots lit up the scoreboard.

A 4-RBI performance from the 24-year old right fielder Adam Cooper helped the Palm Springs Heat beat the Denver Pilots, 11-8. Isaiah Robinson earned the win to go to 5-4. He allowed 6 runs on 11 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Pat Eisen earned the save, his 13th.

Cooper contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Palm Springs in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Cooper took a changeup from Carlos Martinez and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Heat to leap in front, 4-2.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Cooper told the Palm Springs News.

The Heat are now 36-19, while the Pilots fall to 22-33.
