A 4-RBI performance from third baseman Aaron Carr, who is tied for 4th in the StC in home runs with 9, led the Denver Pilots to a win over the Hickory Crawdads, 6-2. Chris Anderson earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. Denver occupies 5th place in the Stripes Conference West Division at 25-27.

Denver took a 6-2 lead on Carr's 9th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Jonathan Marich in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Denver to the win.

Carr called the win "a collective effort."
