The Ann Arbor Z's defeated the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 5-3. Left Fielder Jordan Torres deserved a large share of the credit. Torres went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Z's. Jeremy Schroeter, the winning pitcher, is now 4-4. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 0. The save went to Brian Finkel, his 2nd this season.

Ann Arbor grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Torres hit a 2-run home run off Angel Morales. His 5th home run of the season put the Z's out in front, 4-2.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Torres told the Ann Arbor Bulletin.

The loss makes Quebec 17-36.
