The Denver Pilots pushed past the Ann Arbor Z's, 8-5, in 10 innings at Pilots Ballpark. Jim Franz went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. The losses continue to add up for Ann Arbor, having now dropped 8 straight.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Ben Figueroa in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a 3-run home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Gunter to win it for Denver and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.
