The 4-hit performance of Brian Gates, who is tied for 8th in the StC in stolen bases with 9, helped the Quebec Aces beat the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 4-1. Quebec, at 25-28, sits in third place in the Stripes Conference East Division.

With Quebec leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Gates hit a 2-run single off Quebec hurler Kyle Connell. It was the 36th hit of the season for Gates and put his team ahead, 3-0.

Gates called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
