Fighting Quakers Rack Up 5-1 Win Versus Ann Arbor
Quebec picked up a win at Toros Ballpark, bumping off the Ann Arbor Z's, 5-1. Pitcher Chris Huyard was a major reason the Fighting Quakers emerged victorious. In 6.1 innings, Huyard surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Fighting Quakers lead the Stripes Conference West Division by 2 games.

Nick Schultz had a big 2-run double for the Fighting Quakers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Quebec leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Pat Potter and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fighting Quakers ahead, 3-0.

"That was a really good outing by Chris," said Quebec manager Jeff Gray.
