Z's Lose Versus Walnut Park, 6-3
|
Good production from second baseman Fernando Espindola helped the Walnut Park Bobcats topple the Ann Arbor Z's, 6-3. Espindola went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Bobcats. Beau Larson, who leads the StC in wins with 8, was the winner. He's now 8-2. The loser was Russ Campbell. Phil White nailed down the save.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth when Espindola hit a 2-run single. It thrust the Bobcats into the lead, 5-3.
"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Bryan Gallegos.
The Bobcats improved their record to 28-21 with the win over Ann Arbor.
