Aces Get 10-1 Win Versus Westwood
|
The Quebec Aces scooped up a win at Jackie Robinson Stadium, dumping the Westwood Bruins, 10-1. Josh Bass, who is tied for 7th in the StC in quality starts with 5, was essential to his team's success. With the win, Quebec raised its record to 32-19.
Justin Moralez had a big 2-run double for the Aces in the top of the fourth inning. With Quebec leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Martinez and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 4-0.
"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Bass told the Quebec Observer.
