The Hickory Crawdads beat the Quebec Aces, 8-4, at Crawdad Park. The win was due in part to second baseman Dan Canady, who went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Hickory pitcher Dustin Patton got the win. He's now 3-4. Mike Banks was tagged with the loss. At 27-23, the Crawdads claim 4th place in the Stripes Conference West Division.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the second. That's when Canady hit a slider from Mike Banks for a 2-run single, putting Hickory up, 2-0.

Hickory manager Ray Sanchez commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
