The Aztecs grabbed a win, 4-3, at Long Beach Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Long Beach pitcher Mike Riddick. Riddick went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Adam Brittain picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Eric Whiting suffered the loss. Mel Mercado picked up the save, his 1st.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 24-year old right fielder Omar Snell. Snell had a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aztecs ahead, 4-3. For the game, Snell had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We did enough to win," said Snell.

The 5th-place Keys have lost 4 consecutive games.
