Dollywood Upended, 6-3, by Columbus
|
Columbus and Dollywood duked it out and the Bowsers came out victorious.
Columbus shortstop Albert Garcia had a 4-RBI game, which proved instrumental to his team beating the Dollywood Partons, 6-3. Garcia picked up 1 single and 1 double in the ballgame. The winner in relief was Art Cohen. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Josh Adams earned save number 5 this season.
With Columbus trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Garcia hit a fastball from Miguel Flores for a bases-clearing double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Bowsers ahead, 3-2.
Garcia attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
After today's action, Columbus sits at 28-23; Dollywood slips to 35-16.
