Admirals Score Late to Beat Aztecs, 2-1

Barrie pitcher Andy Strong had a large part in his team subduing the Mexico City Aztecs, 2-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Earning his 7th save for Barrie was Rafael Baray. Barrie raised its record to 29-20 with the win.
Barrie used a timely hit from John Austin to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Admirals ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"That's baseball," said Mexico City manager Dan Martinez. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
