New Rochelle took on Tucson in front of a lively crowd.

The New Rochelle Purple Wave powered past the Tucson Raccoons, 11-5, at Raccoons Ballpark. Kyle Nash provided some of the pop. Cougar was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. New Rochelle currently is in second place in the Stripes Conference East Division at 32-17.

Nash made an early impact for New Rochelle when he stroked his 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Purple Wave on top, 6-0.

"The vibe's good," said New Rochelle manager Brent Boudreau. "We've got to keep it going."
