Whistlers Suffer 9-6 Road Loss
A good performance from catcher Ryan Mallory helped the Syracuse Scorpions defeat the Boston Whistlers, 9-6. Mallory went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Scorpions. The first-place Whistlers have lost 4 straight games.

In the first inning, Mallory had a 2-run home run for Syracuse. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Scorpions on top, 3-0.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Syracuse skipper Josh Gifford.
