Boston Edges Cleveland, 1-0, Rivas Ks 11
|
Spiders Ballpark hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
Boston Whistlers starter Danny Rivas pitched a strong game against the Cleveland Wild Things at Spiders Ballpark, leading the Whistlers to victory, 1-0. Mark Dudley collected save number 31.
The Wild Things had little chance against Rivas, who overpowered Cleveland hitters and struck out 11.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Rivas.
The second-place Whistlers have won 4 in a row.
