Corey Cawley knocked in all 5 runs for the Mexico City Aztecs, helping them defeat the Syracuse Scorpions, 5-4. The winner was Mexico City reliever Sean Ryan, now 3-1. The loser was John Landgren. The second-place Aztecs bumped their record to 65-50.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Mexico City trailing 4-3, Cawley hit a curveball from John Landgren for a 2-run home run, giving the Aztecs the walk-off win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Cawley said.
