The Hollywood Stars cut down the Syracuse Scorpions by the score of 5-3, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Aharon Kroyan. Kroyan went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 for the Stars. Jose Ceballos earned the win to go to 7-11. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work. Logan Stone got credit for the save for Hollywood. It was his 9th of the year.
Eric Daniel helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Stars.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Kroyan told the Hollywood Gazette.
Hollywood goes to 51-64, Syracuse to 40-75.
