McKibbins Hits 2 home runs in Eagles Win
The Indianapolis Eagles topped the Halifax Heathens, 7-5, with left fielder Ian McKibbins playing a big role. McKibbins hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for the Eagles in the win. Aaron Daniels was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. Omar Navarrete recorded the save, making him 1 for 1.

McKibbins contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Indianapolis in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, McKibbins took a curveball from Phil Gregoire and stroked the home run to right-center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Eagles to leap in front, 6-3.

"We ground out the win," said McKibbins. "That's all that matters."
