San Francisco Falters Again, Loses, 10-7, to Boston
Whistlers second baseman Jeff Beeson left his mark on his team's 10-7 win over the San Francisco Fire. Beeson, who finished 4th in the AC in RBI with 108 last year, went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Boston in the contest. Blake Bryant wrapped it up, recording his 26th save. The Whistlers have now won 4 straight.

Boston pinch hitter Austin Alpers helped the Whistlers go up, 8-7, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Alpers hit a run-scoring single off San Francisco pitcher Scott Hargraves.

"We've had a tough go of it," said San Francisco manager Zach Freeman. "But we'll snap out of this funk."
