The Santa Fe Chiefs trumped the Boston Whistlers, 8-3, at Whislters Park. Santa Fe shortstop Clemente Julio was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Chiefs now own a record of 48-61.

In the top of the second, Santa Fe right fielder Ricardo Rivera had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Rivera stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, Santa Fe. For the game, he went 1-5.
